Course Overview
The CITB Construction Skills Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course is designed for team leaders, foremen, gangers, first line managers and supervisors with supervisory responsibilities and a need to understand their legal duties within the construction industry.
Through an understanding of legal responsibilities supervisors can better contribute to the instruction, supervision and monitoring of safety on site. The SSSTS course is an ideal foundation for attaining a basic understanding of health & safety duties and responsibilities for junior management in construction work.
Kentec Training can run this course over 2 consecutive days or on a day release schedule. The courses run frequently at our Kent Training Centre, or we can accommodate in-house courses at your chosen venue. Contact us on 0333 666 0555 for more information and preferential rates.
Assessment will be by an exam paper and the completion of a case study exercise and trainer review. The examination demonstrates to external bodies that the certificate is only awarded to successful delegates following both an assessment and examination. Delegates are expected to be interactive during the course and there is also a mandatory toolbox talk to be completed.
At the end of the theory session on day two, delegates will take a short 25 question multiple choice and 3 short written question test. There are 4 safety critical questions that must be answered correctly. For the last 10 minutes of the examination, delegates may use their books for reference.
Please note that the course price includes a same day resit, in the event that delegates do not correctly answer a safety critical question.
This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation and written assessment.
