Course Overview
Our PASMA Low-Level Access Course will equip you with the specialist knowledge you need to work safely with any low level work platforms under 2.5 metres and is designed to deliver a minimum of 3½ hours of instruction for up to 12 delegates. Using a combination of theory and practical work, this course will leave you feeling confident that you’re working safely at low level heights. This course provides training on mobile access towers manufactured in aluminium alloy or GRP fibreglass, approved to BS 8620 which carry a current British Standard or other equivalent mark of approval.
Low level work platforms, often called podiums, pulpits, room scaffolds or podium steps, provide a stable platform for someone carrying out tasks at heights of under 2.5 metres. They’re generally lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, fold away for easy storage or transportation, and have collective fall prevention built in.
All too often, people see a simple piece of equipment that only goes a short distance off the ground and think nothing bad could happen. Sadly, that’s not the case – falling from a podium can and does cause serious injury. Just like any work at height equipment, workers need to be trained to use them safely.
This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment.
