Kentec launch CITB Achieving Behavioural Change Course
Posted: 1st April 2019
With more and more employers acknowledging the importance of a positive safety culture in their organisations, more emphasis is being placed on including and allowing employees to actively participate in health and safety. Managers supervisors can make a real difference to an organisation, whilst fulfilling their legal duties to ensure the safety and well being of their employees. A positive safety culture can have some great benefits, from reduced injury rates, increased productivity and improved staff morale.
One of the ways to begin the journey to a positive safety culture is through the empowerment of staff and commitment to improve their skills and knowledge within their role. CITB have developed this course to provide delegates with an understanding of how attitude, behaviour, communication and worker engagement at all levels can help prevent the chances of accidents occurring. The CITB Achieving Behavioural Change course provides training on the benefits of adopting behavioural change, for all contractors who work on construction and civil engineering projects.
This course will be available to delegates as part of our open course schedule at one of our training centers, as well as privately at your chosen venue. By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Understand basic legal duties of employers and employees
- Identify hazards and understand the need for risk assessment
- Understand causes of accidents and costs associated with poor safety performance
- Identify the benefits of good safety performance
- Understand and use the STAARR and TASK card systems
