Course Overview
Our CITB Health & Safety Awareness Course delivers a minimum of 6 hours of instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 20 delegates, providing training to aid the understanding of potential hazards the construction worker may face on site.
The course is an ideal foundation for those wishing to obtain an industry accreditation card and dives into a summary of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, identifying the delegate’s responsibility for looking after themselves and others; outlining the employer’s duties; and explaining what should be done if the worker thinks that anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.
The assessment will be an exam paper that consists of 25 multiple choice questions. There are 3 safety critical questions in each exam paper which delegates must answer correctly in order to pass the exam. The examination lasts for 30 minutes, where the last 10 minutes is open book and delegates can refer to their textbook.
Please note that the course price includes a same day resit, in the event that delegates do not correctly answer a safety critical question.
This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation and written assessment.
