Course Overview
Our First Aid at Work (Requalification) Course delivers a minimum of 12 hours of classroom-based theory and face-to-face practical instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates.
This Regulated Qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to maintain their first aider qualification. The HSE guidance is clear that if an employee's FAW certificate has expired, then they are "no longer considered competent to act as a first aider in the workplace." For this reason, you should make every effort to requalify before the certificate expires.
Throughout the duration of the course, delegates will be assessed when carrying out a number of practical exercises including CPR, use of an AED, unconscious casualties, wounds, bleeding and shock, secondary surveys and management of fractures.
This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment.
