Course Overview
Our BAF Abrasive Wheels Principle Course delivers a minimum of 4 hours of instruction and is designed to teach up to a maximum of 12 delegates, providing training for abrasive wheel machine operators, particularly, those who only operate hand held/portable angle grinders, disc cutters, bench mounted chop off saws, bench or pedestal off-hand grinding machines.
It is a legal requirement under PUWER 98 that operators using abrasive wheels are trained in their safe use. As an approved British Abrasives Federation training provider, Kentec Training work closely with our customers to promote awareness of the dangers and hazards of abrasive wheels, and to offer practical steps to reduce workplace accidents and encourage workers to adopt a culture that results in a safer workplace.
Delegates who also use Portable Electric Powertools on a regular basis, may benefit from attending our Portable Powertools and Abrasive Wheel Safety Course.
This course consists of a training room lecture, DVD presentation, written assessment, practical training and assessment.
